Learn about My Job Depends on Ag, an opportunity to support the future of Agriculture

Donor fund contributes to local FFAs and local colleges. 

Chances are you have seen the forest green, California-state outlined “My Job Depends on Ag” decal on cars while driving throughout the Central Valley. The stickers represent more than identifying those who work in the agriculture sector, though. My Job Depends on Ag is a grassroots movement founded by Steve Malanca and Erik Wilson to raise awareness of how everyone is dependent on agriculture for sustenance and to empower those in the Central Valley agricultural community.  

Steve worked for a farm equipment dealership in Western Fresno County and saw firsthand how the lack of water negatively impacted the farming community. He is passionate about showing the interconnectedness of communities through agricultural ties and uplifting the industry.  

“I’m hopeful for the future of the local agricultural industry thanks to the support of our community and the Central Valley Community Foundation,” Steve Malanca said. “We’re grateful to the students who are pursuing careers in the agriculture sector and are happy to encourage and support their farming endeavors.”
