At the Central Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), we are committed to place-based community and economic development that benefits the residents of our region and believe that requires residents, nonprofits, business leaders, and corporate partners all working together.

The Council of Business Sponsors (CBS) meets quarterly to engage with peers, share insights, and help shape solutions to the region’s most pressing challenges. These sessions serve as a space for collaboration, innovation and action, bringing together businesses that share a deep commitment to the well-being of our community.

Additionally, the CVCF team partners with CBS members to understand their business and community priorities, finding ways to advance them through strategic partnerships and investment opportunities. CVCF helps amplify the work our corporate partners are already doing—connecting their efforts to broader regional initiatives, increasing visibility, and driving greater impact. Whether it’s creating meaningful volunteer opportunities for employees, aligning community investments with long-term goals, or helping staff understand how their company is making a difference, we support business leadership teams in bringing their community commitments to life.

Together, we’re not just supporting projects, we’re shaping the future of the Central Valley and showing how business leadership helps drive regional transformation. By investing in people, strengthening systems, and working at scale, we ensure that our collective efforts lead to meaningful, lasting change.
