Submissions are Now Open for The Wonderful Award for Corporate Philanthropy

CVCF is excited to announce the launch of the Wonderful Award for Corporate Philanthropy. This award was created to recognize a business located in our six-county service region of Merced, Madera, Mariposa, Fresno, Tulare and Kings counties that models The Wonderful Company’s philanthropic philosophy and approach of place-based giving: listen, learn and collaborate; build a healthy society and long-term commitment. 

The winning business will be given the opportunity to make a $50,000 “The Wonderful Award for Corporate Philanthropy Grant” to a local nonprofit of their choosing. Nominations for the award can be submitted by anyone, including business owners, employees and nonprofits now until Friday, August 21. Nominators are required to provide written responses to questions including why the nominated company should be considered for the award, how the company charitably gives to the areas where its employees reside and work, and what the company is doing to transform the social detriments of a healthy society.

The judging process will begin in late August, and the awardee will be notified in mid-September. The award will be announced at CVCF’s 60^th Celebration on Friday, October 9th.
