Featuring Fresno DRIVE’s Civic Infrastructure Initiative
Last Wednesday, we hosted our latest Friends of the Foundation Dinner on Fulton Street! Guests learned about the people, neighborhoods, and heart behind Civic Infrastructure, the DRIVE initiative that develops resident engagement and prioritizes visible improvements in disinvested neighborhoods. CVCF, along with our intermediaries, support Hubs in 9 of the 32 most disinvested neighborhoods in Fresno. Friends and Hub leaders enjoyed appetizers and murals highlighting each neighborhood and learned how the Civic Infrastructure initiative aims to shift the culture of Fresno’s existing power dynamic to amplify the voices of those most impacted by policy decisions.
Civic Infrastructure initiative partners include; Every Neighborhood Partnership, Building Healthy Communities, and Central Valley Health Policy Institute. Familias en Accion (Winchell Hub), Martin Park and Another Level Training Academy (Webster Hub), Fresno Street Saints (King Hub), Generation Changers (Lincoln Hub), Live Again Fresno (Addams Hub), A Hopeful Encounter (Birney Hub), Friends of Calwa (Calwa Hub), A Hopeful Encounter (Birney Hub), and Jackson CDC.
