Defining Their Odyssey: With limited time and resources, teams of students, supported by adult mentors, build and program robots to perform challenging tasks in alliance with other teams in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The FIRST Robotics Competition game for 2019 is Destination: Deep Space! Our Edison High School Robotics Club is working hard to provide technical training for our new members and annual safety training for all participants. Stay tuned to hear more about their upcoming journey to space!
Friends of Mindcraft Robotics is the advocacy and fundraising group for the Mindcraft Robotics Team, #3495 at Edison High School, a large, diverse, public high school within Fresno Unified School District. Friends of Mindcraft Robotics strives to support, encourage, and advance the FIRST robotics program and related activities of the Mindcraft Robotics Team and to promote STEM education through the programs and activities of the team.
The FIRST Robotics Competition complements Edison High School STEM Pathway programs. Edison provides all interested students with four career pathway programs featuring elective courses that integrate industry themed skills and knowledge with rigorous academics in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Through our affiliation with the Central Valley Community Foundation, Friends of Mindcraft Robotics can advocate and fundraise for the FIRST Robotics team throughout the year encouraging the after school and summer program to continue to grow and impact additional Edison High School students and the community through its outreach programs.
